Stump Grinding Services
If you’ve had a tree cut down, or it’s fallen down, you’ll need to do something about the stump that’s been left behind. If you don’t, nature’s survival mechanism kicks in and the old tree’s roots may send out numerous sprouts, or suckers, which can spread quickly, become deep-rooted, and before you know it, will turn into new trees. Old stumps also attract termites which can move into the surrounding structures.
With our stump grinding service – the tree stump is reduced to small chips, a little larger than sawdust, which can then be used as mulch or to fill in the gap left by the ground down stump.
Frequently asked questions about our stump grinding services
Will the stump grow back after its been ground?
No, it won't. It's gone for good.
Can you grind stumps on a steep slope?
No. We can't. The steepest slope we can work on is 15 degrees.
Will you clean up my yard and can I use the sawdust as mulch?
Yes. We make sure we leave every site clean and tidy. You can use your mulch and we can help you spread it over your garden.
Can I hire a grinder and do it myself?
Stump grinding should only be done by trained and experienced professionals. The machines themselves can vary from lawn mower size to being as large as a small car. TreeLink not only has the correct equipment, but our staff carry all the required AQF certifications necessary for stump grinding. We carry out pre-site inspections to ensure that all underground services are located prior to work commencing.
